Our goal is to help you heal yourself. We believe your health is optimized when your mind, body, and spirit are in balance. To this end, we have many different therapies we can use to improve your health. We will "Customize" your treatment to your individual needs. This includes Hormone Balancing, Nutrition, and Weight Loss, etc.
We specialize in Regenerative Medicine, hormone balancing, weight loss and nutrition, Women's health, and natural therapies.
Our staff consists of Dr. Joseph Aiello, an osteopathic physician, Dr. Christina Martinez and Dr. Bronner Handwerger, Naturopathic Medical Doctors, and Julianna Nikolic, a nutritionist. We work as a team in the interest of your best health.
Dr. Aiello specializes in integrating traditional and alternative medical therapies to achieve the best results to improve your health in the safest manner. He is an expert in regenerative medicine, hormone balancing, and weight loss.
Dr. Martinez enjoys working with women of all ages. She can help with polycystic ovaries and other menstrual issues, as well as menopause. She has special interest in environmental medicine and detox issues.
Dr. Handwerger has many years experience in natural medicine therapies, hormone balancing, weight loss, and regenerative medicine.
Julianna Nikolic has been a nutritionist for many years. She understands how to work with the patients to achieve their best health. She can help with weight loss, targeted amino acid therapy, and general nutrition. She is an expert with our HCG weight loss program.
We at SDCIM believe that patients have the intrinsic ability to heal and balance themselves. We are here to help you get on the most beneficial path to a permanent and positive change in your health.
Our process is to interview you, diagnose any issues, test to confirm, and then make recommendations. We then follow-up to make any adjustments needed. We are not satisfied until you are satisfied with your health status.

The San Diego Center for Integrative Medicine is an integrative medical center. Our focus is on Integrating traditional medicine and natural medicine. We have Joseph Aiello, D.O., Bronner Handwerger, N.D., and Christina Martinez, N.D. as physicians on staff. We also have nutritional support from our nutritionist, Julianna Nickolic.
Dr. Aiello has been a family practice physician in Spring Valley, California since 1991. He is an Osteopathic physician. Therefore, he has been trained to consider the whole body when he is diagnosing and assessing patients. Dr. Aiello is working integratively with Dr.'s Handwerger and Martinez.
The predominant philosophy of the San Diego Center for Integrative Medicine is to help patients heal themselves. Our focus is getting the body to balance and heal itself using Hormone replacement, Regenerative joint therapy using Platelet Rich Plasma, and Weight loss using HCG. Dr. Aiello specializes in integrating traditional medicine and Dr.'s Handwerger and Martinez specialize in natural therapies. Dr. Martinez especially enjoys women's health. If there are any nutritional issues, then our nutritionist, Julianna Nickolic, can customize a nutritional program for the patient.
In this integrative health environment, you get the best of both traditional and alternative therapies. We have modalities to treat the physical, mental, and emotional states for all patients. Patients are welcomed in a warm and caring environment where their needs are met using conventional and alternative treatments. We have integrated many techniques to aid the patient in healing. Currently, Dr. Aiello's PPO panels are open and he is accepting new patients. Dr. Handwerger and Dr. Martinez are also available for new and existing patients and can be seen under PPO insurance.
We can do an Optimal Wellness Evaluation exam which includes taking a history, performing the physical exam, obtaining pertinent lab work, such as basic labs, hormones and ordering any other tests necessary for workup.
