Melissa Mixon, PA

Melissa was raised in Southern California and educated at UCSB for undergraduate school, during this time she also obtained certification as an emergency medical technician. After graduating she pursued her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences, an osteopathic based school, in Pomona, California.

She has a strong belief in health promotion and disease prevention and emphasizes the importance of screening and empowering the patient in healthcare decision making. Aside from primary care concerns, she enjoys minor office procedures as well as women’s health.

She is an active member of the California Association of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the San Diego PA Society. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, cooking, bike riding, and anything that involves the beautiful beaches of San Diego!
